Benefits of Posterior Chain Strengthening.During this workshop you will learn what we mean when we say posterior chain and how proper training can benefit us all to improve quality of life. Shauna Bagot, PTA will be discussing injuries related to muscle imbalances of the posterior chain and how these imbalances can lead to other complications challenging your everyday activities. Additional information will briefly be discussed how your environment such as at work or home can be playing a roll in these muscle imbalances. Finally, Shauna will discuss tips to help with prevention of injury and ways to involve more posterior chain strengthening in your everyday life even outside of the gym. Shauna Bagot studied at Pennsylvania State University Mont Alto receiving her Associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in 2017; Receiving her PTA license in 2017, as well. The last 5 years, Shauna has worked in outpatient physical therapy clinics in both Pennsylvania and Maryland. She is currently a PTA for WellSpan Health at an outpatient facility in Gettysburg, PA. Shauna has seen multiple diagnoses and treated those from ages of 9 to 90. Shauna enjoys and has spent time working with orthopedics, injuries/diagnosis related to the spine, sports, vertigo, gait/balance, and many more. Shauna resides in Gettysburg and in her free time she enjoys exercising, reading, and time with friends and family.
