About the event

Ankle Injuries

Ankle injuries are a common occurrence at the gym, especially for athletes who engage in activities such as running, jumping, and lifting. The most common type of ankle injury is an ankle sprain, which occurs when the ligaments surrounding the ankle become stretched or torn. Ankle sprains can range from mild to severe, and can result in swelling, bruising, and tenderness. Other common ankle injuries include fractures, tendonitis, and Achilles tendon ruptures. It is important to take proper precautions when engaging in strenuous activities involving the ankles, such as stretching and wearing supportive shoes.

Shoulder Injuries

Shoulder injuries are also quite common in the gym, particularly for those who lift weights or do exercises that involve the shoulder joint. Rotator cuff tears and shoulder impingement are two of the most common shoulder injuries. Rotator cuff tears occur when the tendons of the shoulder are torn or stretched, and shoulder impingement occurs when the shoulder is overused and the tendons become inflamed. Other common shoulder injuries include labral tears, shoulder separations, and shoulder bursitis.

Dr. Patrick Muller is a license doctor of physical therapy and has over 12 years of clinical experience focusing on shoulder, knee and ankle injuries. When he was 13, he broke his ankle which required surgery and subsequent physical therapy. This exposure to the field at a young age was the driving impetus for his desire to help others heal and rehab from injuries. He understands the holistic approach to pain & healing to help improve client success towards their goals. He lives with his wife in Camp Hill and enjoys hiking, traveling to different countries, exercising and trying new restaurants around the local area.
