Lemoyne, PA — As winter settles across Central Pennsylvania and many gyms shift into predictable New Year routines, Kingdom FIT Harrisburg is doing something different. Inside the 219 S. 10th Street facility, a growing hum of anticipation is replacing the usual January rush. It’s not fueled by resolutions, new members, or promotions — it’s fueled by something far more compelling.
A coordinated, three-event fitness competition season launching in 2026.
For the first time, Kingdom FIT is rolling out a progressive, structured series of competitions designed not only to test athletic ability, but to develop it. Over the span of three months — from January 31 through April 25 — members will have the opportunity to participate in:
DEKA STRONG at Spooky Nook Sports
The Kingdom FIT Games: Iron Sharpens Iron at Kingdom FIT
The TRU Challenge at Chaka CrossFit
Registration for all events is available through https://competitioncorner.net/.
The initiative represents one of the region’s most intentional attempts to take everyday people — teachers, parents, nurses, students, and working professionals — and lead them through a competitive season designed to awaken discipline, build confidence, forge community, and reveal inner strength.
And according to early sign-ups, the appetite for this kind of challenge is real.
The Vision Behind the Season
What makes this three-event circuit so unusual is not simply the number of competitions, but how carefully they have been arranged.
“Most gyms host one event a year,” said one Kingdom FIT coach. “We wanted to build something bigger. Something people could train for, grow through, and finish feeling like they accomplished something meaningful.”
The structure itself is deliberate:
DEKA STRONG is the entry point — simple movements, measurable results, no complex skill barriers.
The Kingdom FIT Games come next — more structured, more varied, and fueled by home-court energy.
The TRU Challenge closes the season — a partner-based test built around teamwork, communication, and grit.
Each competition is designed to sharpen a different dimension of personal fitness.
Each prepares an athlete for the next.
Each builds momentum.
And by April, athletes who commit to the full season will not only be in peak physical condition — they will have gone through something transformative.
DEKA STRONG — January 31
The Starting Line of the Season**
DEKA STRONG has quickly become one of the most widely accessible fitness tests in America. The beauty of DEKA is its simplicity. There are no barbells. No gymnastics. No double-unders. No handstands. No technical lifts.
Just ten straightforward stations, completed in order, for time.
The creators describe it as “a decathlon of functional fitness.” For Kingdom FIT members, it’s the perfect season opener — approachable, challenging, and grounded in movements already trained throughout the year.
But simplicity does not mean ease.
The 10 Zones — and What Each One Reveals
Zone 1: RAM Reverse Lunges (30 reps)A curveball of an opener — balance, control, coordination, early leg fatigue. The lungs and legs learn quickly that DEKA does not wait to apply pressure.
Zone 2: 500-Meter Row The first moment of decision. Go too hard, pay later. Go too easy, lose time you’ll never get back.
Zone 3: 20 Box Step-Overs Deceptively tiring. The box forces rhythm and heart-rate control, particularly after the row.
Zone 4: 25 Med Ball Sit-Ups Trunk strength meets rising fatigue. It’s a zone many underestimate — and regret underestimating.
Zone 5: 500-Meter SkiErg A turning point. For most athletes, this is where the lungs start bargaining and the arms begin to tremble.
Zone 6: 100-Meter Farmers Carry A grip test. A posture test. And for many, a willpower test. Eighty seconds can feel like eternity.
Zone 7: 25 Air Bike Calories For some athletes, this is “the wall.” For others, “the opportunity.” Either way, it hurts.
Zone 8: 20 Dead Ball Over-Shoulder Tosses Explosive hip drive in a fatigued state. Pure power meets pure exhaustion.
Zone 9: 100-Meter Tank Push/Pull Legs on fire. Lungs screaming. Hands raw. The sled exposes everything an athlete has left.
Zone 10: 20 RAM Burpees The finish line. And one of the longest minutes of anyone’s life.
Why DEKA STRONG Works for Everyone
DEKA STRONG is ideal for beginners because:
Every movement can be scaled safely
The stations are straightforward
The environment is supportive
The goal is simply to finish
And it’s ideal for experienced athletes because:
It rewards pacing mastery
It punishes poor strategy
It measures grit in a raw, honest way
It provides a score that can be chased for months
This is why Kingdom FIT selected DEKA STRONG as the season opener.
“Everyone leaves DEKA feeling proud,” said a Kingdom FIT member who completed the event last year. “You don’t walk out feeling broken. You walk out thinking, ‘If I can do this… what else can I do?’”
The Kingdom FIT Games — February 21
Where the Community Becomes the Competition**
If DEKA STRONG is the scientific test, the Kingdom FIT Games: IRON SHARPENS IRON are the soul of the season.
Held entirely inside the Kingdom FIT facility, the Games are a homegrown competition grounded in the belief that ordinary people can rise to extraordinary levels when surrounded by community.
The energy is electric. The camaraderie is unmistakable. The cheering often rattles the walls.
And the programming — designed internally — is challenging, balanced, and downright fun.
This year’s event includes four official workouts, each offering a different physical and mental challenge. The workouts move athletes through power, strength, conditioning, coordination, pacing, and resilience.
Below is a detailed breakdown of the event’s design.
**WOD 1 — FOUNDATION
A Fast, Foundational Shock to the System**🏋️_♂️ KINGDOM FIT GAMES — IRON…
The opening workout is traditionally a shock-to-the-system conditioning piece designed to ignite adrenaline and set the tone.

The crescendo of the season’s middle chapter — loud, intense, unforgettable.
**TRU Challenge — April 25
The Teamwork Finale**
By late April, after DEKA and the Games, Kingdom FIT athletes arrive at the TRU Challenge prepared, confident, and battle-tested.
TRU Challenge is team-centered. The workouts aren’t released yet, but historically they include:
Moderate-load barbell complexes
Shared AMRAP formats
Relay-style conditioning
Partner synchronization
A brutally short finisher
No high-skill requirements. No elite-level barriers. Just teamwork, strategy, and courage.
“TRU is the moment everything clicks,” one coach said. “You compete not just for yourself — but for your partner.”
Why These Three Events Matter — Together
Kingdom FIT isn’t just offering competitions. They’re offering a development system.
DEKA STRONG builds the engine.
Cardio, pacing, effort, resilience.
The Kingdom FIT Games build the skill.
Strength, movement quality, mixed conditioning, confidence under pressure.
TRU Challenge builds the grit.
Teamwork, communication, composure, shared adversity.
Each event is intentionally placed. Each builds on the one before it. Each strengthens the habits needed to elevate health and confidence for the long haul.
A Culture That Transforms Ordinary People
One of the strongest arguments for this season is the culture behind Kingdom FIT.
This is a gym where:
People cheer louder for last place than first
Members know each other’s kids, schedules, and injuries
Faith, encouragement, and discipline drive the atmosphere
Coaches invest in the person, not just the workout
Community effort means more than individual ego
It’s why so many members — many of whom never considered competing — have signed up already.
“I just want to prove to myself that I can finish something,” said one first-time DEKA registrant. “I’m not trying to win. I’m trying to win me back.”
The Momentum Effect
There is something powerful that happens when a person commits to an event.
They train differently.
They eat differently.
They sleep differently.
They show up differently.
And when they step onto a competition floor — especially surrounded by 70+ Kingdom FIT members — something inside them changes.
It’s not about medals.
It’s about identity.
Competitions reveal strength people didn’t know they had. And this upcoming season is crafted precisely to unlock it.

A Final Word: This Is Your Year
2026 is not simply another calendar year for Kingdom FIT. It is a season of discovery.
A season of breakthroughs. A season of transformation. A season of courage.
For some, it will be the first time they compete in anything since high school. For others, the continuation of a journey already in motion. For many, the turning point they didn’t realize they needed.
The starting line is here. The momentum is building. The community is ready.
The only question now is:
Are you?
