There’s a moment in every competition when the roar of the crowd fades, the weight of the barbell steadies in your hands, and everything comes down to heart. This past Saturday, that moment belonged to Kingdom FIT.
At the 2025 TRU Challenge, our athletes didn’t just compete — they represented. They represented faith. They represented perseverance. They represented the spirit of community that defines who we are.
When the dust settled and the final results were announced, Trelonni and Sheri captured 1st place in the Male/Female Intermediate Division, and Marteena and Caroline claimed 3rd place in the Female/Female Intermediate Division — two podium finishes that embodied everything Kingdom FIT stands for: discipline, unity, and strength through faith.
A Weekend to Remember
The TRU Challenge wasn’t your typical fitness event. It was a test of preparation, communication, and endurance — a series of events that pushed every athlete to their limit. From the opening AMRAP to the closing time cap, it was clear that this was about more than muscle; it was about mindset.
The workouts combined the raw strength of Olympic lifts with the relentless pace of conditioning, demanding synchronization, precision, and mental toughness. Every movement, every transition, and every word of encouragement between teammates revealed something powerful: Kingdom FIT athletes train with purpose.
They didn’t show up just to compete — they showed up to honor their preparation, their coaches, and the community that stood behind them.
Trelonni & Sheri: A Championship Built on Faith and Focus
There was something different about the way Trelonni and Sheri approached this competition. You could see it before the clock started — in the way they communicated, the quiet prayer before their heat, and the calm confidence that comes from preparation rooted in purpose.
A Partnership Forged in Discipline
As one of Kingdom FIT’s dedicated trainers, Trelonni carries a deep understanding of structure, strength programming, and leadership. But what makes him stand out is his ability to inspire calm under chaos — to coach and compete with the same heart.
Sheri, a Kingdom FIT athlete who embodies grace under pressure, matched his focus with intensity and resilience. Her ability to stay composed through fatigue, push through tough reps, and encourage her partner showed a level of emotional and physical maturity that defines what we mean when we say “faith in motion.”
Together, they executed every workout with a plan — balancing power and pacing, strength and strategy.
Executing with Excellence
From the opening You-Go-I-Go AMRAP, where teamwork dictated success, to the barbell complex, where precision mattered most, they demonstrated seamless communication. Their timing was tight, transitions smooth, and encouragement constant.
The final event was grueling — a combination of power cleans, wall balls, and synchronized burpees that demanded mental toughness more than physical ability. And when exhaustion hit, it wasn’t just muscle memory that kept them going — it was faith.
In those moments, they didn’t just move for themselves — they moved for Kingdom FIT.When the leaderboard was updated and their names appeared in the top spot, it wasn’t just a victory; it was a statement.
They proved that discipline beats doubt, faith outlasts fatigue, and unity produces victory.
Marteena & Caroline: Third Place and an Endless Supply of Heart
On the other side of the floor, another Kingdom FIT team brought just as much fire and determination — Marteena and Caroline, who earned an incredible 3rd place finish in the Female/Female Intermediate Division.
Leaders in Action
Marteena, a Kingdom FIT personal trainer and instructor of the popular R.I.S.E. class, is known for her drive, creativity, and ability to lead with energy. She brings the same passion to competition that she does to her classes — every rep done with conviction, every cue given with heart.
Caroline, one of our most consistent and uplifting members, has quietly become one of Kingdom FIT’s most well-rounded athletes. Her strength, control, and unshakable demeanor on the floor make her the kind of teammate everyone wants by their side.
Together, they were the perfect balance of intensity and composure — two athletes who showed that hard work, humility, and consistency build champions.
Fighting with Faith
From the first workout, their communication was on point. They strategized between rounds, encouraged each other during transitions, and never once lost focus on the bigger picture — doing their best and glorifying God through effort.
Even when fatigue set in, their smiles never faded. They moved with joy, cheered on other teams, and celebrated every win — big or small. Their 3rd place finish was a reminder that podiums are earned not just by performance, but by posture — a posture of gratitude, composure, and perseverance.
Their teamwork inspired everyone watching — especially our younger athletes, who saw two strong women leading by example. They didn’t just compete — they showed what it means to be Kingdom Strong.
The Kingdom FIT Family: More Than a Gym
What made this weekend special wasn’t just the podium finishes — it was how the Kingdom FIT family showed up.
Trainers, members, and friends came out in full force, wearing Kingdom FIT gear, cheering until their voices went hoarse, and supporting every athlete on the floor. The atmosphere was electric — full of encouragement, prayer, and pride.
When one of our athletes was on the floor, everyone was behind them. That’s the kind of culture Kingdom FIT was built on — community over competition.
A Culture of Growth and Grit
At Kingdom FIT, we don’t just train bodies; we develop people. We build character, consistency, and courage — the kind of qualities that carry into life beyond the gym.
This event proved that again. Every cheer, every high five, every “let’s go!” came from a place of genuine connection. The TRU Challenge wasn’t just a test of fitness — it was a reminder that when faith and family come together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
The Work Behind the Win
Podium finishes don’t happen overnight. They’re the product of months — even years — of consistent effort, thoughtful programming, and community accountability.
The FORGED Framework
Much of that foundation comes from Kingdom FIT’s FORGED training system — a structured strength and conditioning model built around progressive overload and functional movement.
Monday’s squats, Wednesday’s presses, and Thursday’s deadlifts create not only physical strength but discipline. That structure allows athletes to build momentum, track progress, and approach competition ready — not lucky.
Trelonni and Sheri trained with intention. Marteena and Caroline trained with balance. And all of them trusted the process — a process that has been refined through sweat, science, and Scripture.
Support Behind the Scenes
Beyond the workouts, there’s a support system that makes all this possible — trainers who share ideas, members who push each other, and a culture where accountability is celebrated, not feared.
When athletes at Kingdom FIT prepare for a challenge, they’re never alone. Whether it’s early-morning training sessions, weekend skill work, or recovery conversations after class, they have a family walking with them. That’s what separates this gym from the rest — it’s not just a place to work out; it’s a place to grow.
Faith as the Foundation
Every success story at Kingdom FIT begins with faith. It’s not a slogan or a marketing line — it’s a way of life.
Before competitions, our athletes pray. During workouts, they encourage. After events, they give thanks. The TRU Challenge was no different — our teams entered with humility and left with gratitude.
The verse that echoes through our community captures this perfectly:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23
This weekend was a living example of that scripture in motion. Every lift, every sprint, every rep was done with purpose — not just to win, but to glorify the One who gives us strength.
Inspiring the Next Wave of Kingdom FIT Athletes
When members see Trelonni, Sheri, Marteena, and Caroline on the floor, they don’t just see athletes — they see possibility.
Their performances prove that success at Kingdom FIT isn’t reserved for the elite — it’s built through consistency, humility, and effort. They remind every member that no matter where you start, you can achieve greatness through commitment and community.
The next generation of athletes at Kingdom FIT will be stronger because of them. Their example has set a standard — one of teamwork, resilience, and faith-driven excellence.
Celebration and Gratitude
As the TRU Challenge wrapped up, the celebration wasn’t just about medals or standings — it was about what those accomplishments represent:
Dedication: The willingness to show up every day.
Faith: The belief that strength begins within.
Community: The understanding that success is sweeter when shared.
To Trelonni, Sheri, Marteena, and Caroline — your efforts inspired an entire community. You showed us that winning isn’t just about finishing first; it’s about the journey, the preparation, and the testimony you build along the way.
Your victories are Kingdom victories.
The Road Ahead
The TRU Challenge was just one chapter in a much larger story — the ongoing journey of what Kingdom FIT stands for.
This moment reminds us that our community is capable of incredible things when united under a shared purpose. It’s a call to every member, trainer, and supporter to continue striving for growth — spiritually, mentally, and physically.
We’ll keep showing up, keep building each other up, and keep competing not just to win trophies, but to transform lives.
Because at Kingdom FIT, we’re not just shaping athletes — we’re shaping Kingdom-minded leaders.
